R&D & Innovation
We test in the conditions we sell into.
Everest runs its own design, prototyping and test facility in Sharjah. Nothing reaches a production line until it has held specification at 43°C ambient with the door cycling.

In-house R&D
Design, engineering and testing under one roof
Everest designs, prototypes and validates every cabinet in Sharjah. Thermal engineers, electronics designers and test technicians work beside the production lines, so a product is engineered to perform in the outlet and built to last — not just to pass a showroom inspection.
- Climate-chamber test ambient
- 43°C
- Bottom-shelf temperature band
- ±0.5°C
- Accredited test laboratory

Innovation approach
How an Everest product is developed
Five gates between an idea and a production line. A design that fails a gate goes back, not forward.
- 01
Define
Start from the outlet: ambient, door traffic, pack format and energy target.
- 02
Engineer
Airflow, evaporator sizing and shelf temperatures modelled before metal is cut.
- 03
Prototype
Full cabinets built on production tooling so test results transfer.
- 04
Validate
Climate chamber, door-cycle endurance and energy measurement.
- 05
Refine & release
Findings fed back, pilot batch audited, then series production.
What the R&D function actually does
Thermal design and simulation
Airflow, evaporator sizing and shelf-level temperature distribution modelled before the first prototype is cut.
Prototyping
Full cabinet prototypes built on the same tooling as production, so test results transfer.
Climate chamber validation
43°C at 65% relative humidity, plus low-ambient testing for markets with cold winters.
Door-cycle endurance
Hinges, gaskets and closers cycled to the equivalent of a decade of outlet traffic.
Energy measurement
Consumption measured over standard duty cycles so published figures are reproducible.
Refrigerant transition engineering
Hydrocarbon platform conversion, including charge reduction and safety compliance.
Testing & quality
Tested in the conditions we sell into
Lab testing, performance testing and durability testing run on site, against documented procedures under our ISO 9001 system.
Quality standards
Everest runs certified quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems. Audits are welcomed, and documented virtual audits are available for customers who cannot travel.

Climate-chamber performance
43°C at 65% relative humidity, plus low-ambient runs for cold-winter markets.
Door-cycle endurance
Hinges, gaskets and closers cycled to the equivalent of a decade of outlet traffic.
Energy consumption
Measured over standard 24-hour duty cycles so published figures are reproducible.
Pressure and leak testing
Nitrogen pressure test and leak detection on every refrigeration circuit.
Pull-down verification
Every serialised unit proves its pull-down time before it is crated.
Transport and vibration
Packed cabinets tested for road and sea freight before a new design ships.
Focus areas
Where our engineering effort goes
- 01
Energy efficiency
EMMD demand-matched control, LED systems and low-E glazing cut the electricity each cabinet draws over its life.
- 02
Custom solutions
Brand wraps, shelf pitch, voltage and controller profiles engineered inside series production.
- 03
Advanced cooling technology
R290 hydrocarbon platforms, adaptive defrost and air-curtain design for open multidecks.
Customisation capability
What can be changed without leaving series production:
- Full-cabinet brand wraps, canopy artwork and illuminated headers
- Shelf configuration, pitch and load rating for your pack format
- Market-specific voltage, frequency and plug standards
- Glass specification: single, double or low-E glazing with or without heating
- Lock, castor, base and kick-plate options for outlet conditions
- Controller profiles tuned to your product temperature band
